Solving Tactile Connection Issues
“No client connected”
This means that no client is currently connected to your session. To invite them to your session click on “Invite Client”, then “Copy Link”, and then share the link with your client. To join your session they simply need to click on that link.
“Client does not have buzzers plugged in/paired”
This means your client has successfully connected to you via bilateralstimulation.io, but they have not yet (fully) plugged in their buzzers.
They need to connect the buzzers to a USB port of their computer.
Depending on their computer, they might have to use the USB-A-to-C adapter that we included in the buzzer package.
If it's their first time using the buzzers, they might have to click on "Pair".

“Client has the tactile control unit plugged in, but it seems like the buzzers are not plugged into the control unit”
This means that your client has their tactile control unit plugged into their computer, but the buzzers aren't fully connected to the control unit.
Make sure all buzzer cables are firmly connected on both ends:
- The USB cable connecting the control unit to the computer
- The cable connecting the buzzers to the control unit
“Client is connected via their smartphone/tablet”
The buzzers currently only work with laptops/desktop computers, not with phones and tablets. If that prevents you/your client from using them, please email us and we'll arrange a return and refund: contact@bilateralstimulation.io
“Client is connected via outdated Chrome/Edge browser”
Your client will need to update their browser via one of the following links:
- Google Chrome:
https://www.google.com/chrome/ - Microsoft Edge:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge
“Client is connected via an unsupported browser”
Whoever plugs the buzzers into their computer (i.e., the client when buzzers are used remotely and the therapist when buzzers are used in-person) must use the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser.
This is due to technical limitations of other browsers.
So while the visual and auditory BLS will work with any browser, the tactile BLS will require using either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
The good news is that the combined market share of Chrome and Edge is 70%, each works on both Windows and Apple, and almost everyone has one of these browsers already installed.
If that prohibits you from using tactile BLS, please email us for an alternative solution: contact@bilateralstimulation.io
